Periodically, the Leelanau County Road Commission takes bids for paving products and other materials necessary to maintain and repair the roads in Leelanau County.

If you would like to submit a bid on a pending project, please click on any active link below.  As with any bid, the Leelanau County Road Commission Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to change quantities, extend pricing for additional years, to waive defects, and to accept any proposal(s) that in the opinion of the Board, would be in the best interests of the Leelanau County Road Commission.

Request for Qualifications – 2019 Engineer of Record Services

 The Leelanau County Road Commission (LCRC) is seeking a professional engineer (PE) to be the Engineer of Record for LCRC.  If you or your firm are interested in providing this service, please indicate your interest by submitting your qualifications to the LCRC by 10:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2019.  Information submissions should be limited to a total of 10 double sided pages.  Submittals should include resumes of the proposed Engineer of Record as well as all professional personnel who may be assigned LCRC work.

 Qualified individuals or firms shall be evaluated based upon demonstrated experience in:  MDOT road design/stream crossing replacement, Federal Aid project requirements, Office Tech certification, road construction layout, grant writing and be proficient in Road Soft software and PASER ratings for roads.

 The consultant will be selected using a quality-based selection process.  The Leelanau County Road Commission will review the information submitted and will select the firm or individual considered to be most qualified to perform the services based upon the submitted qualifications.  The selected vendor will be contacted to confirm capacity.  Upon confirmation, negotiations on cost/fees will be conducted with the firm/individual selected.  This contract may be extended for additional years upon approval by both parties.

 The Leelanau County Road Commission in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
